We live in a world of DOACs now. Like the dinosaurs which once ruled the earth (but obviously don’t anymore, duh), warfarin was once the Trex of anticoagulation. But - also like the dinosaurs - we can’t forget about warfarin just because newer, shinier medications are available. And here’s where the analogy ends, because warfarin is actually still really useful today! (Although I suppose if you count chickens as dinosaurs’ descendants, you could argue that dinos are also still useful today…) Anywho, come with tl;dr as we explore this beast of a drug!
